"Hotel dining was not open so wasn’t able to try it. Check closing days before booking if you want to eat there. Room was clean, comfortable and warm. Recommended it to colleagues who have also booked rooms and been equally happy. Sadly couldn’t use recently due to price increase at half term. "

"We had a terrible stay at this hotel and had to leave a day early. The road way to the hotel is appalling and full of pot holes. On arrival at reception the receptionist was pleasant, we then got to our room, even before entering you were hit by the smell of damp and mould, we entered the room and straight away had to open windows because of the smell. "An interesting pub with decent food, ideally situated for the iron bridge 10 mins walk away, and the museums . My room was comfortable and warm enough given the -5c outside. it had a part glass floor with industrial archeology visible through it. "
